More Modern Family Please.

We do not have cable in our basement apartment. It's not too much of a drag though since we both aren't avid television watchers. I do sometimes miss being able to sit down and lazily flip back and forth between MTV and HGTV, but other than that, not having cable has been a blessing in diguise.

We do watch this on DVD.... We cannot get enough. There is a reason it keeps winning awards. It is the greatest.

We both love Phil Dunphy.

Ask Robert who he wants to be when he grows up and he'll say "Phil Dunphey" without hesitation.

I have to be clear though. Just because my husband wants to be Phil Dunphy, I do not wish to be Claire when I grow up. Selfish, neurotic, control freak--funny to watch on TV, but a nightmare in real life. I am not friends with people like Claire because I would need medication before I attempted a conversation.
Once, really early into our marriage, Robert said to me, "That was a very Claire thing to do." And I started crying. Open wound...still waiting for it to scab. If you asked me who I don't want to be when I grow up, I would say "Claire Dunphy" without hesitation.

A great clip.

Don't watch Modern Family?
We recommend it.
It's definitely a feel good, picker-upper. We shed a tear or two in almost every episode.
